Neponset River House Guidelines

Please take the time to read our guidelines carefully
  1. You need to sign in and out.  The sign in and out sheets are located at the front desk.

  2. The work ordered day (WOD) is from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  During the work ordered day, no recreational activities (such as playing pool, games, or guitar) are allowed, with the exception of lunch time.

  3. Proper appearance and good hygiene is expected while attending NRH.  Proper appearance is defined as wearing clothes that are clean and fit properly.  Offensive body odor and inappropriate clothing will not be tolerated, and may result in being sent home to shower and change.

  4. Computers are for the work of the clubhouse.  Personal use is allowed during lunch and after the WOD on appropriately labeled computers. No food or drink are allowed near computers.  No downloading is allowed per order of Riverside  IT.  Printing for personal use is not allowed.

  5. If the fire alarm sounds, all members and staff must leave the building immediately and meet at the picnic area by the river.

  6. All members and staff are expected to be free from the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs while at Neponset River House.

  7. Food is only allowed in the dining room. Drinks may be taken out of the dining room if they are in  covered containers, such as a coffee mug, or a soda/juice can or bottle.  No drinks are allowed around the computers.

  8. Smoking is only allowed at the picnic area. There is NO smoking in the front of the building or at the front door per state law.  Please respect the gray picnic bench as a non-smoking table.

  9. The Photo copier is for clubhouse related business only.  See copier for list of permitted personal uses.

  10. Phone use: Clubhouse phones may be used for calls to support and medical teams, employers and for clubhouse business.  All other calls should be made from the payphone or cell phone.  Cell phones are permitted at NRH as long as the ringer is on low and you remove yourself from your work unit when answering and/or talking.

  11. We have a lost & found in the front closet near the entrance. If you lose something, please look here first. Items left for a month or more will be put in the thrift store.

  12. Borrowing is based on relationships and is allowed.  Bumming is defined as asking “anyone and everyone” for cigarettes, money, or rides.  When a member says, “NO, it’s NO.”  If you repeatedly ask it will be considered harassment, and is not allowed.  Harassment may result in disciplinary action.
